Engine 76 - 1994 Pierce Saber

With the help of a wonderful donor and through many countless fund raisers, Preston was able to secure this 1994 Pierce Saber from Marydel Volunteer Fire Company  out of Delaware.  This truck took the front line position from a 1979 Chevy Pumper that was purchased some many years ago.  This truck allows for faster respose and carries 1000 gallons of water.  This multipurpose truck allows for more options on any type of fire or accident scene.

Kenworth Tanker 56

Tanker 56 is the workhorse of our fleet, with this tanker being able to carry 4000 gallons of water to any fire scene, this truck is always busy.  The other great feature about this tanker besides the 4000 gallons of water, is its ability to stand alone on a fire scene.  With a rear mounted pump this truck can flow water to any scene with a number of attack lines.  Here we see the WorkHorse supplying water to Urbana’s Engine during a mutual aid structure fire.

Brush Truck 76-80

This piece of apparatus has been a life saver when it comes to natural cover fires here in Hickory County.  With this truck having ground sweeps out front, it allows for the fire to be much faster dealt with and extinguished faster without putting fire fighters at risk.  This brush truck carries 250 gallons of water and can accommodate many fires with its ability to draft or have water pumped to it.  This truck carries (2) 100 ft sections of attack line for any car or structure where it may arrive on scene first.  We want to thank Hayden Klinger and the great brothers at Indian River for making this truck a reality for us.  This truck has been a true get to the scene quick and get it knocked down.  76-80 has already seen its fair share of fires.
